We are very excited to celebrate our wedding day with you and so appreciate the gift of your presence!
As most of you know, a huge part of our life together has been about supporting and engaging with our local food community. In lieu of wedding gifts, we ask that you consider making a tax-deductible donation to Community Farmers Markets or The Giving Kitchen.
Josh is the board chair for Community Farmers Markets (CFM), and Beverly has been a host committee member and regular volunteer. We both believe in CFM's mission to leverage the power of communities by providing resources, educational programs and sustainable modes of food distribution for farmers, producers, chefs and consumers. It continues to grow, touching more than 250,000 lives this year, and working towards changing the way that all of Atlanta finds safe, just and delicious food.
The Giving Kitchen was founded by our dear friend, Jen Hidinger-Kendrick and her late Husband, Ryan. They have won numerous awards, including this year's James Beard award for humanitarian of the year. Their mission is supporting restaurant workers in crisis, through non-healthcare emergency grants. In doing so, they've created something magical here in Atlanta, and a model for the rest of the country. So far, they've supported more than 1,300 workers, and are growing in impact every year. We got engaged in the charity's restaurant, Staplehouse, and consider this organization family as well.
You can donate to these charities through this link below, and your gift will be both appreciated by us and tax-deductible. On this day that represents us having so much, we hope you will help us give to those who need.
